Description
The APP betaCTF ELISA (CTF=C-terminal fragment) will allow to better understand the metabolic pathway leading to Amyloid-beta processing in the cells. The Amyloid-Precursor protein is thought to be first cleaved by beta-secretase (BACE1) to leave a short membrane bound stub called APP betaCTF, which then is further cleaved by gamma-secretase to yield the mature Amyloid-beta peptides. This assay allows the quantification of APP betaCTF in cell lysates
